Fished most of the week in front of the lodge, but did two nights opposite for 30lb 2oz, 38lb, 34lb 4oz, 25lb 5oz, 18lb 8oz, 17lb 10oz, 26lb 10oz, 22lb 9oz, 22lb 8oz, 18lb 8oz, 13lb 8oz, 18lb 2oz, 15lb, 34lb 2oz.
Fished from 13th to 20th September 2014 biggest fish I caught 53lb new pb., 47.10lb, 47.6lb
43lb and 39.8lb with plenty under these weights. All beautiful mirror carp,
Snowman rig using Mainline Grange and Dynamite Coconut cream pop ups, free offering was particle, pellet and a few boilies.
Louis & Mark netted 29 nice fish in 4 days including a PB for Louis a 30lb Common, 2@ 27lb Mirrors, 25lb Mirror, 23lb Mirror, 11.2 Sturgeon 6lb Tench and 22 carp over 15lbs
Thnx to Nick Gilbert for his article "Pellet waggler basics". I found it very interesting and translated it into russian. Next step was to try it in a practice. Actually, I don't know commercials with right pellet waggler condition and hi stock lavel, so tried it in a swim with 6 meters depth :)
During my first pellet session i've got a lot of questions and... two unsuccsessful bites! I didn't hope to see one, but saw two! I thougth that my pallets sink too fast and i can not compensate it with refeed frequency. So I put 5 maggots on a hook and straight away caught two canal catfish with only 1 m depth set up. That was very, very exciting!
10mm bottom bait tipped with yellow pop up corn together with PVA bag full of crumbed baits. This was bait boated out with 1/2 kg of 8mm pellets.
Caught fishing to dam wall margins 5 yards from bank on Century NG 2.75tc rod, 16lbs Suffix Flourocarbon line, 2.5oz inline lead, Kryston Jackall and size 6 Korda Wide Gape B hook - blowback style.
